Shouldnt it have a lot more
Shouldnt it have a lot more spots on it? Certainly an unusual spot, and from the looks of it it does look like a blue ringed type spot. I wonder if other occies have that, if it just looks like that or another explanation? I think their spots can come and go somewhat, but unusual only one is showing (maybe that one didnt 'switch off' properly as it died?). Did it look like the others in the pack apart from the ring?

I've seen them in exie
with lots of rings like that only as big as a normal occy so blue ring occy's are not the only ones with the rings

Occy
I remember a few years ago buying human consumption occy from Sealanes for bait, and when they didn't have any of the big tentacles, I bought a bag of the little ones - I found a few of the blue rings on many of them - I asked around, and was told that yes, they were blue ringed occy, but they are bleached in the processing...
I also discovered that the fish would bite on them either... In the end I chucked out a couple of kilos of them. Put it to the test on a couple of fishing trips, where the little occy were used by some, and fresh local caught was used by others (well... me..) There were simply no bites on the bleached ones...
Save the Whales! May as well - they won't fit in my catch bag!!!
