What camera do you use?

Just wondering what sort of camera you guys use, either video camera or digital and what you think of them.

I have a sony DSC-V1 5.0 megapixel which has had one or two problems with it, but overall has been pretty reliable and taken some great shots. I've seen a few others on the market lately which are pretty awesome and cheap. I just want to get a bit of an idea of what most people are using these days and what they recommend from their own personal experience or opinion.

Cheers,
Adam

Sony Cybershot

All my pics have been taken with the little cybershot and I can't complain, most have turned out pretty much OK. All my vids, except for Exmouth were taken using it too.

I've got a Fuji FinePix A350

Tue, 2006-08-29 18:13

I've got a Fuji FinePix A350 5.2 megapixel. It's good for simple 'point and shoot' applications but I'm interested in getting a more sophisticated digital SLR for camera if I want to take my fishing photography seriously. A point and shoot camera still comes in handy though which is why the A350 will always have a spot in my bag.

One downside is it only captures movie at 320 x 240 pixels at 15 frames per second which doesn't really cut the mustard. Dads digi cam captures video at 640 x 480 at 30 fps which is far more superior. I plan to get a digital video camera in the future.

I use the Canon 350D for all

Tue, 2006-08-29 19:29

I use the Canon 350D for all of my photography. Takes great pics for publishing in the mag as well as being able to print out to A3 with no loss at all. I've printed up to A1 so far and still looks great.

If you're going to go SLR, it's worth spending the extra bucks and getting good lenses.

350D

Yeah I'm using a 350D myself. The motordrive function coupled with great autofocus is excellent for jumping fish shots.

Fill flash is also quite easy to achieve.
