Went and did my RST theory test last night and still can' beleive that there was nothing relating to the consumption of alchohol and legal limits. Anyone else surprised?

I'm with Shag on that one
Bob Slight has been around a fair while and would give top shelf advice for a novice or experienced boatie.
He also happens to be a sponsor of our Coipasa Classic, so he's a top bloke too (imho).
$50 is pretty cheap though if you just want to sit the test. Each to their own.
Personaly I am hoping to win the "Biggest Dhufish" category in the Coipasa Classic, which carries a Bob Slight Skippers Ticket course as part of the prize. But with my luck based on the last two outings I am a shoe-in for the NAFA award. (Hehehe)

I'll be doing the $50 one for sure, I only drop my tinny in the moore river a couple of times a year, and will forget all the other stuff, when and if I ever purchase a sea worth vessel.

What about practical!
I thought even if you just did the $50 theory exam you were still required to sit a practical assessment at some stage before getting your ticket. Am I wrong and have I misunderstood something?

Depends if you have been
Depends if you have been sent a letter of exemption I think if you have a boat registered in your name for 5 years they sent you one or something like that CHEERS SHAG

Joke
Yes, it is a bit of a joke. Because 6 wrong allows you to get a whole section wrong. What if you get all the easy ones right, safety etc etc and then fail 6 questions based upon navigation and still dont know which way to point the boat upstream or what a cardinal marker is??? Whats the point...
