Don't know how much current is running out there at the moment, but you would probably need to make sure you have some 50oz leads on board. Standard Paternoster rigs will do the job but you may need to make these out of heavier leader than you normally would.

Hoping to be out tomorrow if the winds are decent.........

the key to fishing out there

the key to fishing out there with baits is to be on the bottom, i would suggest atleast 48 and 50oz sinkers

I would think anything that will hold the bottom will be fine Smile. All depends on current and wind. Could be as low as 20oz but you could also need 50oz+.

Use a normal paternoster but beef it up to heavier trace material if you can.

I have a broadband and it gets bottom out there ok with a 600w transducer, just have to go slow which you have to do with the more pricey sounders anyway.

As for if its worth it only you can answer that one. Some good fish out there but also lots of crap fish which will kill you winding up from that depth all the time for them. Is really no different to fishing in closer for dhuies lots of ground to cover to find fish.
