Started the 2011 billfish account
Submitted by Lucky Tim on Mon, 2011-02-14 20:55
Had my first troll in the new tub today and got Sticks onto his first billfish- a nice 40kg sail. We also missed another then got a few nice table fish sharked on the way home. The water is pretty green ATM and only clears up past 100m. Maybe I should be billfishing in Perth...

Great Effort
Nice Sail mate!!
Drove up from Perth yesterday, every crossing between Wooramel and Carnarvon was washing out and heaps of scattered rain from Minilia to Fortescue.
Hope you guys in C'Haven are all good and the murky water pisses off for AIBT and Gamex!!!!

handled it nice Brodz, nice
handled it nice Brodz, nice skinny wake and a good noise, and using only a few litres a hour at 7kts. Raised 2 bills in 3 hours trolling only 2 rods so happy with that. Shame about the dirty water though, and it only looks like it's gonna get worse.

yeah mate got some
yeah mate got some outriggers but haven't fitted them yet. The rods seemed to troll nice straight out of the holders, plus I tried some of those rod extenders things that widen the spread which worked, but they make me a little nervous if there is a big strike with a decent drag.

ha ha not bad mate, just south of Tantas but trolling SE in 200m over a area that has produced in the past. Didn't venture too far from the ramp as conditions were average.

Congrats
Great way to open the 2011 account. Congrats. By the look of things I might have to come back from Pohnpei to land a bloody billfish. Still got 2 years to do it though.
