Boat creature comforts.

What's the one creature comfort you can't go without on your boat?.
I've just installed an airconditioner. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a game changer up here during the buildup / wet this season.

Yep when you get aircon in
Yep when you get aircon in the north there would be no going back. For me it's the second fridge that we use solely for drinks has been brilliant. No mucking around with ice and drinks sloshing around on weekends away.

Fridge
Definitely the change from esky to fridge for drinks and food. But agree the deck wash is right up there as an essential piece of kit as well. About to pull the trigger on an anchor winch, guessing that will likely take the mantle once it's in.

Problem with an
Problem with an air-conditioning system in the boat is you wouldn't want to go out and fish.
No creature comforts in my tub but the deck wash is a must.

Ha! I made mine with head
Ha! I made mine with head knocks in mind so can go over the step in the transome and just miss it.
I have hit my head on pretty much everything else on the boat though.

Bloody hell!
Ac on the boat would be nice wouldn't it!
For me the two game changers were as mentioned with the deck wash and anchor winch.
You dont realise how much you'd actually use the deck wash untill its there and Rotto beach stuff is way better with the winch.
A fit naked lady could be handy too!!

Float
Not a big budget item but the float for pulling up the anchor is the highlight of my boat.

The anchor retriever float is a great item to have. Used one for years and still got it . Certainly beats hauling the anchor up from the bottom

Yeah they're great! We had one on our Mackies trip a couple of years back. We also used it to heat wraps that we made for lunch each day.

Just finished fitting a 12
Just finished fitting a 12 volt oven in the cabin today, yet to try it out.
Other things I've become very used to are the deck wash, the Engel and the Stressfree anchor winch but if you ask my wife, the number one creature comfort is the macerator toilet.

Yep my wife wouldn't come on our boat if we didn't have the toilet. My mistake.

That one made me laugh.We
That one made me laugh.
We go boating with girls who have grown up sailing so hanging their gooch over the gunnel isnt unusual....but still unexpected when you come out the cabin, mid chat, and realise why everyone else is looking the other way.
Our daughter is too liberal and just rips the dacks down and does a wee off the transom.
Years of camping with just a bucket, composting bags and a shovel grows some relelience. The kings toilet onboard is now a luxary.
