Jeff's drought broken

Jeffro finally got a red, even though not huge, it still counts. We also got 8 goldband, 4 spanglies (1 released to try get another red) 1 pearl perch and this red oh and also got snipped by a wahoo. Bag photo coming tomorrow, not a bad effort for 2 hours bottom fishing after a howling easterly this morning.

all good
Its almost like a new boat and I emphasize almost. ;) No fuel smell and not a drop of water out the bungs.

Same Same
Finally found where the water was coming in from on mine. Where bung was fitted they had tapped a thread in the ali for the bung --wrong thread, so drilled it out and fitted complete unit with lots of sikaflex so your worries are over on both counts.
Did you get the fish on the regular goldband spot or one of the new deeper ones?

trout fantastic
Jeff
go hit Helby mate, heaps of ground out there
last day fishing exi we hit the 20-30 meter area and pulled heaps of trout. 4 coronations and the rest......
was just using 1oz TT jigheads and 7" Gulps and Slam mate. Colour didn't really matter but something bright.
found I had to slowly feed the line down with my hands so you could feel the hit. Otherwise if you just opened the bail arm up and let it free spool by the time the line stopped the trout had you well and truely smoked in cover as they were just smashing them on the drop, some 10 meters plus off the bottom.
was running 15kg braid on a sol 4000 5-10kg heavy snapper raider and still getting smoked, but what fun......
