Yeh Ado

Yeh mate, they are good to eat, if you can return them do as they are an extremely old and slow growing fish for their size.  Mind you, a lot of the time they have their guts in the mouth and are stuffed so get kept.  Up to you really, just depends what else you've been getting into on the day.

Nice bag Bill, done well.

SPESS insisted we put his one back - he will be spewin. It was a good 500mm I would say - caught in 24m and it's guts came out it's arse. SPESS deflated im and he swam off strong (hopefully to survive). Do they have a limit Ads?

deflate

i was told that its best to sink them, like most fish with this problem, as the stomach shrinks again..?? rather than slicing it.

Nice bag  of fish there mate, When there guts come out of the mouth , you dont slice it , u just pop the swimm bladder and send it back down , thats it best chances for survival
