shark bay

just got back from an awsome fishing trip in shark bay, we left perth last sat morn, we were on the boat (charter) by 5pm. we put all our fishing gear & booze on the boat, quick shower, then we all went 2 the pub 4 a few beers. sun morn we set of through steep point passage, we put some lures out the back, caught a few macs & tuna, then  the wind come in about 30knots with 3m swell,  so no more fishing 4 the day, we went and anchored up 4 the rest of the day in a bay. monday was a blow out 2, so mid day we  went up on the inside of the reef 2 turtle bay. then the weather gods looked after us 4 the rest of the 3 days, i caught some awsome fish, got my pb on a red emp, it was 11.2kg and went 840 it was a thumper, aso caught cods, tuna, macs, trevallys, snapper, sharks, bauldys, sweetlip, goldbands spanglies etc. all in all it was an awsome trip with the lads, we had a ball. it was a great boat & the crew could not do enough 4 you, we went with aquajack. i will put some pics of my best catches, i also have on video the big red i caught, i will try & post that up 2.

cheers.................

Wow, 11 blokes for 5 days - would have seen plenty of deck action by the sound of it and the pics you posted Shabba. You certainly caught some great fish and congrats on pb red emp mate - it's a beautty!

Sounds like a great trip. I was also there on Shark bay charters. We did the north first three days then went south. Also did well on the fish. How's that wind .....must have been 35 knots on thursday.......top trip though. Will post some pick when I get the chance.
