Mandurah Crabbing

Hey guys,
I'm thinking of going crabbing this weekend in Mandurah with a scoop net, mainly around the area under the big traffic bridge. It is going to be cloudy and rainy on the day I want to go, and was just wondering, what are peoples experiences of crabbing in the rain? What is this time of year like for crabbing? Also, anyone know good crabbing spots around mandurah for scoop nets?
Cheers

From my experience
I've been living in the Mandurah area for a few years now and done alot of crabbing and from my experience the crabbing season was over just after Easter and i would think well and truly over from the recent rain we have had. You would be hard pressed to find a feed anywhere, but thats not to say its not worth a try. Behind the Novara pie shop is always worth a try.
