Am i the only one that thinks that pic is a bit dodgy. i reckon there would be a knife or a stick or something as that fish looks to be way in front of the bloke. just my thoughts......... The fish and the bloke should both be more fcused if it was close to him
its not unusuall for flathead to grow to that size over there ive seen plenty of fish this size caught its just our flathead over here are babys compared to the big girls over there !!!!!!!!!
those flatties are the breeding females so they should have a max size limit and it does look a bit dodgy, ahah, his arms are just so far behing the fish its obvious he;s not holding it, but i must say that is a monster fish non the less,
No doubt its a huge flattie and an awesome catch but I do tend to glaze over with the way so many people hold fish so far forward to distort the actual size and make fish appear bigger.
As soon as I see these type of pics I tend to recalculate what it really is - JMO
a size limit of 75cm over here....when they are that size they are jenni's so they have to go back.......as for the pic , he probably is holding it with something....so what.... its a hooter
looks fair dinkum to me. should have been sent back imo. have heard of some monsters lurking around there. big breeder for sure.well done to the angler tho would have been a great fight

that'd be a nice catch, if only they were that big over here.

Just hold them a little
Just hold them a little further out for the pic ;)
But they do get some rather large lizards over there. Seen one over 1m from the ocean overeast. They get up to 1.5m!
Is a pity we dont get them that size here, especially in estuaries. I hear theres large ones offshore in deep water but buggered if i'll know where.

agreed, looks like its held forward a foot or so, something gripping the gills and hands placed perfectly behind, still nice fish none the less.
Here we go again.
