Anyway back to reality. Two best sides on form in the comp at the moment without question are the Eagle and the Hawks. Shockers very very lucky last night, actually the game was handed to them. Will be good to see them bundled out in straight sets come finals time.

Fyfe deserved what he got
Mitchell fined due to media prosecution. Fyfe was clearly frustrated (sore loser) and opted to turn and drop the shoulder into Mitchell rather than shepard Lewis who was closer to the ball carrier. How many players go up for a mark and 'accidentally' allow the knee to find an opponent and hurt them, guna have to fine them too, no difference
Just like this Goodes BS, Mitchell has been snipered by the media and all of society's sheep cashes in on it.
Gibson, well love taps are part of the game, and the over acting of the recipients of such taps are just as bad as the offender, play on, but no, the media wont have that, replay after replay, tribunal forced to act

Just a little sorry for Basha. But one mistake does not make a loss (or in Freo's case a win). Poor bugger is going to feel like a huge pratt but it wasnt all his fault. Richmond could have sealed it with 2 easy misses, and then a great kick from a true unsunf hero Mundy from the Dockers. Despite 2 team still cheered for Richmond on the weekend

As for the eagles the game has been stolen by the booing. I am not sure its all racist based because Adam brought it on himself IMO because of his previous War dance.
Heard a comment on the weekend and subsequent sports talk that giving an Australian of the year to a active football identity ( And I for one think he fully desreve this for the man he is) because 17 other teams will wonder why one of their stars didnt get a similar accolade will always cause issues. Giving this to a non affiliated person after retirement might have been wiser in the long term.
BUT booing is IMO not a part off the game I like. Only after someone does something un-sportsman like, then they deserve what they get. Jedda action also wasnt called for IMO but can understand his reaction out of being pissed off.
Upside was Barrass - stepped in and even won some one-one conteast with Goodes. No easy feat for a debutant against a 2 time Brownlow player. Somehow we keep producing quality backmen when the chips are down.
A dream at the start of the season for me to make the eight. Now only need 3 wins out of six to be in the four. Agree forms sides are no doubts hawks, then Eagles. Should win the next, then 2 PStaduim games as crunchers. Season getting very very interesting. Gov should be back for Hawks but what to do with Barrass then. Stay in for Schofield for sure if his injury is worst than thought.
