Many years ago there used to be a lot of goats around the Cue area, my father in law used to gold prospect in that area and used to see very large mobs of them.
Wooramel, Urala or Carbla stations have heaps of them. Last few years have seen Wooramel doing 2 or 3 musters of them each years, more than they do for sheep and cattle.
Was up near a station in Lenster two weeks ago plenty of goats and camel around would have bowled over 20 camels and lost count of how many goat was pop and rot

Seen a few like that up near Cue
Helped out rounding mobs up for market. These feral goats absolutely destroy the vegation in the outback.
Old fishermen never die they just smell that way.

That they do
Not many that way now days. They think wild dogs and droughts stuffed them all magnet ,sandstone and cue way. Haven’t been that way for 30 years

Was fair few years ago use to get $1 an ear for goat
Then station owners where making huge dollars on them ( compared to sheep) exporting them. Times change . Love goat and gravey rolls.
