What you going to do with them?
Even though this was caught between 2, are you serious?? Why not take a couple, eat them fresh...and go back another day?
From memory, Tailor are rubbish after freezing...
unless of course you're feeding 6 children...but otherwise, I don't understand it.

Always pays to check before you open the gob
Steve goes nuts at anyone who abuses anything when fishing. I must admit it does look a bit extravigant but some of us old farts have extended families after many years of staying home to please the wife instead of spending opulant amounts of money on selfish things like boats etc to satisfy our own egos. After a fair while of wife pleasing and breading things can turn around but the number of mouths that need to be fed has greatly increased.

Tailor slaughter
Geez, wasn't serious. Expected just to be told there were 17 of us, and we kept one each. But now you have gone there, I have counted them 17 times, and keep getting 17 fish, and all 17 look like tailor.
Frankly, it doesn't bother me what you do with your legally taken catch. Eat your tailor fresh, smoke a bit, ram it throught the burley pot. I find it really brings out the shine out in my dog's coat. I can even see how you can end up in a good session getting home and finding one too many, but I probably wouldn't post up a pick of the heinous act.
As it happens, I slanted my education to enable me to work in aquatic protection. As a bit of a contradiction, I spend as much time as possible extracting creatures from the ocean. So I'm not sure if I am a tree hugger, and should be finding myself another site. Would have thought I was more in the majority of people on here who love their fishing, but have a bit of a conservationist leaning. Happy never to post again, but would like to see the criteria before I am run off.
A good session on choppers is fun, but anybody who is jealous of somebody for getting a few, hasn't done a lot of fishing.
And Vince, the call of people who own boats being opulent and selfish is an absolute howler. I notice you work smart and fish often. I chose to work smart, for a little bit longer, go fishing a bit less often, but in a nice boat. I also snagged a wife who loves getting out on the water, and now so do our kids. Nice shiny landy in your avatar- that's some ego you must have.

Not jealous
Not jealous Adam, I have done the metro thing and caught Tailor/Mulla's, and now live in one of the best places to fish in WA, Dampier.
I am just putting the question out there, and it's only my opinion & I'm not out to offend anyone.
But...having said that..I forget some people may not have the time or conditions to fish as often and can understand if people take what they can when they get the chance. So...well done Sherbs, and I hope they taste delish!

I didn't know you could still
I didn't know you could still get a feed like that anywhere near the metro area? But I guess you could argue that north of Two Rocks isn't near metro? And ignore the negative comments and keep posting pics Sherbert. I don't go fishing all that much so reports with photos fills a void and this one brought back some good memories! The last time I caught Tailor like that would have been late 80's with the family (and 200 other people) down at San Remo beach (Mandurah). You obviously still know where to find them.

I think the tailor run is has come a little later this year so
I am not surprised that Sherbs was able to come across a great school today. We found a good school on the weekend, but they moved on pretty quickly that day. I think if you can find the right spot at the right time, the next month should provide some pretty good tailor fishing, particularly north of the river. Spots like Triggs, Scarborough, Cott Groyne etc should be worth trying. But you need to be dedicated like Sherbs and hit the good spots first thing in the morning, or late at night.

Now I'm really annoyed and jealous.
I had arranged with my mate to go fishing that area a couple of days ago. We usually head into the dunes north of two rocks and 30 mins later are on the beach large flat rocky section
Had everything planned, all the gear and bait ready and the night before he cancelled on me
About the third time in as many months he's done that to me
NOT HAPPY JAN!

Sherbs and I went to the same spot yesterday and there
wasn't a tailor to be seen. Too strong an easterly I reckon. Heaps of herring thoug. Could have filled his new truck with them if we wanted to, but Sherbs kept a few for one of his matyes and we let the rest swim.
