First tuna of the day

When you're allready crawling out at trolling speed due to the conditions, makes no harm to chuck out a skirt or two out the back
Bit hard to see in the pics, but the tail fin had yellow in it, as well as yellow tinges on the second pectoral fin, so hence why we called it for a yellowfin (also suggested by one of the other guys on the boat who'd caught a few yellowfin over in NSW). Welcome to expert advice though

Big eye
I think they are big eye tuna, the first dorsal fin and the pectorals don't seem long enough for a yellow fin.

surface activity ?
hlokk, was there much surface activity out where you nailed the Tuna ?
Last trip out was very quiet on the surface, but we picked up a couple of fish out of the blue. No birds around, we picked up a few big bait schools that we worked for no results. Hope this weekend comes good weather wise...
