Well it wasn't as good as yesterday

Sun, 2008-12-14 09:54

And despite what seabreeze says, that NE wind is (or was) blowing 15 - 20 knots.

But we managed another half dozen tailor. I think I have enough fillets now to last me until xmas.

Sun, 2008-12-14 18:37

Found some big western reds, got plagued by rankins, caught some coral/coronation trout, harvested some bluebone on the spear and spun up some light tackle mack tuna.

Of scarbs

Mon, 2008-12-15 06:29

Watto just went about 4 mile off scarbs. The wind was blowing its ring out till about 11am here, then dropped off for the rest of the day.  Think i might of talked the mrs into a bigger boat. On the way home in the runabout yesterday, i had greenies coming over the top..her eyes were stinging from the salt...i think i have it sold!

Sounds Familiar

Mon, 2008-12-15 21:48

That was how I (we) ended up with a bigger boat.. Took the little 15' runabout out off Busselton and the wind turned and came in from around the cape. Said to "the boss" we better get back in and gunned the old 60hp straight into the chop!!!!!! Her knuckles were white all the way back to the ramp Sealed Wink

Got back to the caravan park and she suggested looking for a "bigger" boat when we get back home... Now who am I to argue with "She Who Must Be Obeyed" Laughing

Cheers,

David

Went out with the kids after T ball at around 11.00am. It was blowing its clacker out, caught a few assorted wrasse which we turned into crab bait for use in the Mindarie marina.. Got a couple nice crabs and heaps of just undersize. Good signs for later in the summer

We got out yesterday with a whisper that the macks were in town. Ended up with 5 macks boated all aound the 8-10 kg mark. Bottom bouncing accounted for 4 nice pinkys. A couple of undersize dhuies were released and then my mate dropped a nice dhuie for me at the side of the boat. Not happy Jan. So we cut his beer off. Pulled the pots on the way in for a couple of crays and home by 1pm. Lovely day out.

Cheers Mick
