Really need a PE2-3 casting outfit Huggy for use on smaller trevs, trout, spangos, jacks etc... eyeing off a Ripple Fisher Apis 69MH and prob get a Stella SW5000HG with PE3 Varivas Avani Casting PE.
Not sure what rod I will get to match with it. Any suggestions? I have a 12 foot Wilson LiveFibre that will do the job and the Moonraker can also cast overheads, so that will do for a start.
> Combo jerk is softer PE4 that knocks over plenty of fish yet delicate enough to plastic or spin with etc.
Id have a Stella either way but prefer the gearing type in the Saltiga.
Next is Saltist LD30 with PE3 to go on an old Sabre for bethnic species. Im trying to achieve a lighter rod with a softer tip rather than the snap back jigging broom stick which prevents scaring the fish at the first feel of the rod. Also a softer rod is loaded all the time to prevent hooks falling out considering braid has no stretch. With good knots more fun and not missing most good eating fish.
Just got my saltiga jigging gear together expedition 6500 on a saltiga s-extreme XHFS jig stick. Next on the list is The old version of the luvias in the 1003 model and the new luvias DA 2-6lb rod for ultra light plastics work on small tuna, sambos, kings and the likes
Who said fishin was a cheap hobbie? Its not at all, $30k boat, no rod & reel combo under $500 fuel and bait every time we go out plus maintenace & improvements on the boat which never ends there is always a better bit of kit to make things easyer for us that we have to justify the expenditure for..

the same can apply for angling it never stops, But we love it, better than blowing it at the betting shop or on smokes...
Must have about 40 rods and 30 reels. Up here in Karratha only brought the ones I thought I would need. 25!!!!
But havent got the best overheads so a Alutechnos ALT 3000A with any rod matching, but with Alutechnos runners is the only changes I would make. Dream Fr004OSA but $$$$$ for both.
Over head currenly are a TLD 25 and 20, and a TICA. My father from Kalbarri lent me them!!!!
Dream on boy, the boss will die if I bought one!!!
Alutechnos is. Sometimes Japan are beaten by something fishy and any Alutechnos is IMHO just the bees knees. Italy can produce soccer stars and bloody good reels too. Rate Alu much better than Accurate. Just wish I had the spare bling money.
Maintenance to the X stops in 2 yrs, and what I pay per month = 2 Stellas per month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers terrorist.LOL

PS Face burn is a problem and I just love that hide your face mask. Where do you get them, and why not try and get a fishwrecked one. We could then all become the terrorist on the sea and scare the boat people away.
Dont mind the look of the Accurate but Alutechnos for me.
are very under-rated. Used one at Exmouth this year and was pleasantly surprised at how well it performed.
Sounds like a sweet little combo Webby, but maybe consider down sizing the reel for a little better balance and run some higher breaking strain PE2 (~30lb). The 4000 is about half the weight of the 5000/6000/8000. Either way, it sounds good.
