Western Warriors

Or 'WA Men' as they are now known but how frigging awesome to be in an almost unassailable position to do the One Day and Shield treble after having no business at all hosting the Final.

I popped down the WACA Fri and our bowlers just ground Tas down with disciplined length bowling to secure the bonus point scenario and Roc came in and bowled beautifully (as he's down all season) to start picking off wickets. 43 wickets for Roc this season on mostly seam friendly tracks so he's put himself up there for an Australian contract.

Shame Connolly missed out on a dream 100 on debut in a final but this kid is a bonified big game performer. If Phillipe was thinking about heading interstate I think his decision has been made a lot easier.

Marsh and Green aside who are cemented in the Aussie Test team but this team is missing Bancroft, Kelly, Richardson and Morris from our best XI with Agar running drinks.

Most of the side are in their 20s with Whiteman, Bangers, Paris, Short being only early 30s so we have a good chance to be up there for a few years like QLD in the 90's/2000s and WA in the 80s.

Gonna pop back down today to watch a team winning before I head to Optus for what I feel is going to be a bloodbath.

Fantastic bowling and gave the batsmen nothing. Also like you said, missing some big names. A side of the WA lads not playing looks pretty handy!

Bancroft

Marsh

Green

Turner

Philipe

Wyllie

That's insane huh. I heard on

That's insane huh. I heard on SportFM that Bosisto is dominating Grade cricket but at 30 and stints at two states I think time may have passed him by. Just too many 20 odd off 60 balls for WA.

Great end to the season for

Great end to the season for the lads. Was also down there Friday arvo. My first attendance at a shield game for many years and must say it was really enjoyable. WA bowled superbly, the view from what stands are left at the WACA was great, and even though there were not too many there, the crowd was starting to get into it too.

The depth of WA cricket, paticularly our bowling attack, is quite superb.

I had my mate's member pass

I had my mate's member pass but like an amateur forgot a collared shirt. Was going to buy a WACA polo to get in but ended up camping out in the general area and getting a really good view (pic in my original post) and down near where Roc (star) was fielding to applause after his overs.

 Ha, was pretty much right

Ha, was pretty much right behind you either standing in front of the bar, or sitting on the wall just in front of it. Roc seemed to be having a good chat to the lads on sitting just behind the fence, particularly after a couple of the not out decisions.
