Tents

Anyone know of any really good 4 man tents that are easy to setup/disassemble (relatively quickly) that are plenty roomy, hardy, breathe well and going for a good price in store or online? I'm looking at upgrading my pissy 2 man tent to something decent, anyone got any suggestions/recommendations?
Cheers,
Adam

The best on the market - 5
The best on the market - 5 year warranty, very easy setup. No such thing as fantastic cheap tent though Adam.

Dome!
Go a dome tent IMO, quick/easy/compact/low maintenance/relatively cheap and i would of thought Shauno at Exxy could help with that!

Go canvas
Adam go the canvas tourer mate! Thats what I will upgrade to next, bought a dome made out of that light weight material but the stuff is shit!
Tears to easy in my opinion, and complete waste of money. The canvas one may be heavier but if you treat it well it will be the last tent you buy. There tough and made for out back conditions just like a swag!
I know most camping stores sell them at a reasonable price around $300 from memory

Me and the missus just
Me and the missus just bought a 4 man tent, big dome one with 2 rooms and the back room (where you sleep) also has a zip up wall between it so if you want some privacy you can get it...
the thing about this tent though, is although 4man, it is a bloody HUGE 4man, id say it would easily qualify for a 6-7 man tent in the spinifex range...
Its no shit about 4 metres deep and about 2 and a half wide (not bad for a dome I thought)
Got it from compleat angler and camping world in joondalup... no doubt youd be able to ring up and order one... just the 4man camping world tents man... theyre awesome :)

the black wolfs are great
the black wolfs are great but quite bulky due to the poles . and not cheap ...
the tourer 9 in the "rv" model is very nice with big windows and full canvas ... not bad price and very easy to set up.. if anyone gets one its well worth the extra $40 to get the side pole kit so you can remove the center pole..
with all canvas tents set them up on ya lawn first and wet them with a hose to expand all the stitching - otherwise the first time you go camping and it rains they will leak till the stitching expands :)

Get a good dome tent, then
Get a good dome tent, then chuck the waterproof cover on it, then put a massive tarp over it.. and if you must, put canvas over it :P
