upstream

shitty rains this winter didnt really bring them down to claremont/neds area. They still have BIG resident bream tho at most yacht clubs. Otherwise upstream from East Perth area.

Sun, 2010-09-12 18:36

wait till it gets a bit warmer for the bream from belmont to guildford,,go for flathead at the moment,,i been getting a few!   ..the right snags produce big blacks in warmer months..ive landed a few beetween 42 and 45cm in the past,,,keep moving ,,covering ground and snags,,, use light weight too,as light as you can!

I'm keen for a bream hunt

Wed, 2010-10-06 18:24

I'm keen for a bream hunt over this weekend. I'll take the kayak up around maylands/ascot/east perth kinda area.

I usually just use a very small ball sinker running on the mainline to the swivel, then about 750mm of 7lb flurocarbon with a small limerick hook and peeled prawns. Bought 1 hard-bodied lure yesterday so i might try that for something new, but i have very little experience bream fishing with lures.
