Somali Pirate

The US Navy today announced that it has released a senior planner for the Somali pirate ring after questioning him extensively for 27 days while being held prisoner aboard a US aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea.

In a humanitarian gesture, the terrorist was given $50 US and a white 1962 Ford Falcon automobile upon being released from custody. The Navy even went to the trouble to ensure his seat belt was correctly fastened.

The attached photo shows the terrorist on his way home just after being released by the Navy.

There are some interesting sites to be seen if you travel

Wed, 2009-06-24 08:35

around Papua New Guinea too Colin. Old tanks, trucks, planes and even motor bikes, were left behind when the Japanese and the Americans left. Most of it remains pretty much untouched because a lot of the local landowners view it as something almost religious.

The first stig (the black stig), Perry McCarthy was 'killed' off at the start of season 3, by driving a jaguar off an aircraft carrier :p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eiJkQzpzRc

I'm not entirely sure Schumacher was the actual stig (at least for the whole career of the white stig). Sometimes they get other people to drive (particularily in stunt cases). The unveiling of Schumacher could also be a bit of a red herring perhaps.
Also, Nigel Mansell reconed the stig wasnt a F1 driver due to the driving style/lines around the track, but that could be a red herring.

and lots of other stuff was dumped off Rotto after the war - or so the story goes or went as my father told it - and he would have known something as he bought and sold army disposal gear for years.
