I am still tryin to suss out what reel i want to buy. Its for my lemax slim max pe2-4 light jig rod and will be used for plastics and jigging. Im lookin at around the 5000 mark and am willing to spend up to about 600$. I been lookin on the net and been thinkin alot about the japanese version of the twinpower, but have been reccomended alot of other shimano and daiwa reels. Its so hard to choose and would like some feed back from the fishwrecked boys and girls please ;D

im not an expert but go
im not an expert but go around pick up the reels, spin the handle, slick the bail arm and ask questions. if it all feels good and you like the way it feels then buy it. JMO but some love shimano others swear by diawa so its up to you.
hope this helps a bit.

if you have a budget up to
if you have a budget up to $600 try to look around for a new/used stella 400fd, there probably the best out there. also have a look at the new daiwa certate, they dont look half bad. i also agree with danno, its better to actually go see the reels and feel them before buying, your taking a bit of a risk buying from overseas.

I've got a Twinpower 5000SW
I've got a Twinpower 5000SW (Aussie version) running 20lb braid and rate it VERY highly. It's knocked over some fish that were way out of it's weight class. For the $$$ you want to spend this reel would be perfect.

Keep saving Marko, only a
Keep saving Marko, only a few more bricks, buy a top level spinner!! Still doesn't help you though, still comes down to Stella or Saltiga.
I think the JDM Twinpower would be a nice reel though!!

I recently purchased a 5000
I recently purchased a 5000 SW Twinpower HG model for the missus. A very very nice reel. Having said that, I only bought it throught EBAY as it was 'second hand but almost brand new' so saved a packet on it. The guy was right, I can't see a single thing on it to say it was ever used.
If you are going EBAY I would serioulsy consider a Stella instead as they are only about a 100 bucks dearer than a 'brand new' Twinpower with the current Aussie dollar. That's about the cost of one fishing trip so something to think about. I also have a Stella SW 5000 and it's brilliant.
I've seen but not used the new Certates and they look fantastic. You would want the biggest size, the 3000. The Daiwa Seagate reels also look really good and the 3500 Light would probably be the one you are after there. The Seagate is a cheaper option but at the same time you will have a hard time killing this reel. It's a beefed up Saltist so you will be getting quality.
A tough call for you but I would get the Stella 5000 SW over the twinpower with current prices but if you wanted to save money I'd get a Seagate.
