Coral Bay - Land Based?
G'day folks!
I am finally heading up to Coral Bay for the first time next April. I will only be there for 7 nights and leave on the Monday morning of the Fishwrecked comp, so hope to get up to Exy during that weekend and have a squizz at what's happening! The reason for only a short stay is the missus isn't too keen to hang about too long with a 2 and 4 year old! Hopefully it works out to be a bit of a recon mission for a 2012 trip to Exmouth!
Anyway - I am just after any tips, hints on where to go and what to use to catch me some fishies. We will have a couple of 4x4 between us (Northseaa is heading up as well). What are the best lures, SPs etc to use? I want to start stocking up now! As it's the first time up there, any sort of advise is appreciated! Also any kid friendly spots to fish!
Cheers

two good spots to fish with
two good spots to fish with the kids off the beach would be five fingers bay and mordes landing. They are only just out of coral bay and fairly easy to get to. You will probably need to let your tires down to get out to five fingers bay because the track is pretty sandy.

if the fishing fails you
if the fishing fails you could spend the time with the kids in the water in front of town. great place to stay and relax. plenty of 4x4 tracks to try out as well

Yeah - Cheers. Not sure
Yeah - Cheers. Not sure how much fishing will get done. This is a family holiday after all. But when in Rome! I'm sure my boys will love catching fish anyway! That's if Dad can show them how of course?

if you cant catch any at
if you cant catch any at least you will be able to show the boys some big spanglies. just go down towards the glass bottom boat with a handfull of burley pellets and they will come up to you. if your kids like the water hire or buy some snorkling gear, its a great place for a swim
