The scoop

Went down last night and put the net in hoping for some mullet. The water wasnt that clear as there was a fair amount of silt and weed floating around. Wasnt much wind around just before sunset . There wasnt much around until after the sun went down and then the crabs came out to play. Loads of undersize blues and jennys around along with numerous rays bumping into the net. Ended up with a feed of crabs which were caught in the scoop 1 taylor and 1 mullet. As well as a few small bream and a couple of small flounder that alk swam away well. Called it quits at 8 as need to get up at 2am for work. A few more mullet would have been good but ended with a feed anyway.

Those pesky things are
Those pesky things are everywhere at the moment. I did notice the water wasn't as clean this week. Could be why it was quiet

it went a bit clearer once
it went a bit clearer once the tide was in a fair bit , the amount of silt sticking to the net would have made it visable to the fis i recon.
hoping it will be clearer next week. fresh mullet makes great bait .
