rock fishing shoes

I have always just used my old sports shoes when fishing but im thinking about investing in a dedicated pair of rock and reef fishing shoes.
I have heard/read good things about rockhoppers, anyone got a pair or know of any other good shoes for this purpose?

thanks

Mirage Rockhoppers mate. Very comfortable and provide maximum grip on slippery rocks with the steel spikes. I think they retail at around $80.

I use the mirage ones and they work well. I use them all over the place down south, up north and even fresh water fishing. Well worth the money.

Another vote for the mirage

Another vote for the mirage ones! On one particular trip I was the only person out of 3 of us that could get out to a certain rock that was within casting distance of a school of salmon. Landed 3 and lost that again before they moved further, whilst the other guys could only stand back and watch as it was too slippery to get out there. They really do grip awesome on rocks!

I bought a pair at Bluewater Melville week before last for 50% off during their sale. Cost me $35 which i thought was a bargain. I think their sale may have finished though.Ray
