River Fly Fishing

One of the staff at bluewater was telling me that he could outfish anyone using fly gear on species like bream and flathead.

I was baffled as i have only every seen 2 fly fishermen in the Swan.

I have my own fly gear, but what flies would work on these species, and where can u get flies from?

Anything would be helpful as i only have a fly combo because i was in Scotland for a few weeks.

Thanks,

Andrew

Mate, not a simple question. Salt water or river fly fishing usualy requires different types of fly line .Sinking lines are mostly used.

Fly's are shrimp or baitfish style (clowsers , decievers) Some of these fly's are heavy and require shooting head type lines.

You realy need expert advice. Fly world in Maylands is a great place to start, nice guy in there and has always help'd me out.

Blue water Morley also has gear and advice.
