I'm using the Shimano TAC8 single speed as a PE4 jigger. Pretty happy with the reel so far, although I did notice someone put on a Torsa 16 arm to make the handle a little longer. Not really sold on needing two-speeds in reels that small.
Edit: the AR mech is the same in both the single and two-speed reels. Its just twin pawls.
The TAC8 takes 300m of Daiwa Saltiga Boat Braid PE4/55lb comfortably, but because I had a bulk spool, I stuffed 350m on and it has been a pain.
Other reels in the same segment would be the SOM L50 and perhaps the Accurate BX400N although both are a little heavier and a little larger capacity. They also both have infinite AR bearings.
got the 2speed 8 and agree with til, save money and get the single speed, the high speed is too high for anything useful except maybe if a mackeral or similar speedster ran towards you livebaiting up north. On low speed I quite like the reel as it is light and very powerful, but again I would buy the single if i had the chance again and wanted it for a jigging reel.

Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?
