The way I see it, the only boat limit now for demersals is for dhuys. 2 per boat. All other demersals have a bag limit of 2 per angler. All current regs can be found on the fisheries web site.

The way I understand it is

2 dhuies per boat if there is more than 1 angler until the new regs come in March. If I catch 1 dhuie then I can only catch 1 more in the high risk cat for my 'combined bag limit' eg. I then catch a pink snapper and I am done in that category for the day.

spot on Lamby , but then you can get 2 palegic eg, tuna ytk and so forth, then you can get 12 medium risk and 30 low risk, so you can still go out and get a good feed if you top up with the other cats of fish, but realistically you only go out thee to get away from it all and getting fish is a bonus
