More Two Rocks Information required
Submitted by Colin Hay on Thu, 2009-01-29 10:15
I was looking at the Google satellite image of Two Rocks and noticed a beach just south of the marina where there looks to be a nice gap leading out from the beach into a reefy area. Does anyone know what the fishing is like there. It looks pretty good from the satellite, Many thanks, Colin Hay

Hi Scott
The spot I was looking at is a little bit further south than that. I wish I could copy the satellite image. It would be easier to explain.
I guess the best way to explain it is to say it is roughly in line with Finden St.

There is some reef
And thats north of two rocks
Take the footpath in front of big houses, And ends up at a covered in shade like gazbeo and steps down to the beach With some reef
But you need to be early cos not alot of room to fish on that small reef
And its abit shelter from the south winds by the harbour wall

Big Rock
If you fish from the beach straight over from the boat ramp [in behind the big rock]on a high tide at first light you can get a few good tailor on chrome slices. Most times you can fish over top of the weed The spot you noticed on google,by the little square dot,is quite shallow with weed settled on the bottom[just south of little rock],though we used to get a few good whiting 100yards further south away from the weed

Try Yanchep
Try up at Yanchep or at Club Capricorn groyne Colin if you are going in the evening. There should be a few tailor and herring around with the chance of a mulloway or small bitey just after dark.
When I lived at 2Rocks I got better results from there than at 2rocks or even Loonies or Wilbinga. The beach about 150yds north of the lagoon usually scours out leaving a good hole to fish at first light
