Lowrance HDS 5 set up?

Recently got a new HDS 5 Combo unit. Plotter is good but the sounder doesn't seem to be performing up to the standard I would expect... Wondering does anyone else have the same or similar Lowrance Sounder and how to set it up best?
I am fishing anything from 10m to 60m.
Any advice would be appreciated.

adjust the colourline to about 71% or there abouts, it will tell you in the manual how to do that
other than that they have those sceanrio selsctions likle slow trolling shallow or deep trolling fast or general use etc. either switch it to manual and keep playing with it or set it to one that best describes what your doing. If you use the bootom lock and have a split screen with your sounder I wouldnt imagine you would be able to see too much on the 5 inch screen.
