Like most good ideas, they have already been done before.

Kingfisher Poseidon Bantam comes with 3 tip sections.

the gaff would slow it down

the gaff would slow it down in the water im guessin, hmm good ideas here!.

i wouldnt buy a rod if it came with different 2nd halfs, to much effort and usually have two rods when im fishing anyway. people on a budget or wanting to pack light it would be awesome!

So a million dollar idea you

So a million dollar idea you wouldnt buy youself, lol.

As said, the bantam has a few different tips, but I think for a two piece rod you would have a lot of difficulty getting the rod to curve nicely for both tip sections. For a multiple piece rod with different tips, it is slightly different.

Some rods have actions such that you can load them up on light gear and get a nice working curve, but then really give it to them and load them up heaps when you need a heavier rod. I have one that bends quite a bit on 4lb, and can chuck 5g lures, but can also run 10lb and belt out 20g lures too.

you dont make money buying

you dont make money buying your own product haha! i like the lighter stuff with a touch heavier line, i have two flick rods and 3 reels for them to swap round to suit. nothing worse then the feeling of a lure braking off when you forget you have the lighter line on:(
