Loss of revs
Went out on saturday and while running along I noticed something on my boat. I was only getting 4800rpm WOT. When I bought the boat new in January I had it in a river near the gold coast at 5600rpm WOT. I know at the time I didnt have my fishing gear with me and Ive added 2 deep cycle batteries into the center console since then but I wouldnt think that I would lose 800rpm just like that. No change in prop, nothing.
Spoke to a mate this morning who told me to clean the fuel filter out which Ive done this morning. Hands still smell of petrol. Its one of the water separator/filter canisters so thats all done. There was a few jellyfish and rock crabs floating in the fuel out of it so fingers crossed the fuel flow was restricted and thats it.
Any other ideas as to what my rpm loss could be from? I wont get to test the boat out until wednesday or so to see if this was it.

Want to hope not, I usually put fuel in it every second week or so! None of the gull crap either, just shell or caltex.
