Long day out with rewards
Submitted by Faulkner Family on Sat, 2019-03-09 21:17
With the weather forecast the plan was set. Headed out 23nm out from mandurah. As everyone will know the weatger was as forecast. Was a slow day out with not too much on the chew other than pickers. In the end i got a pb bauldie and nearly another the same size which got off the hook on the surface and hightailed it straight back down and Brenden once again got braging rights with his catch. Also landed his pb shark and sambo. Sandy managed a small gummie and a kg. With a couple of breaksea thrown in for good measure.

Under pressure?
Yeah found the same , the last 4 days should have been the best days for the month near enough , moon , tide and solunar wise,
but I think the low pressure killed it , slow off two rocks on friday. but Im glad we went , wind well below 8knots from 6.30am to 4pm , almost nil swell ,
and in our 5m tub we sat on 20 plus knots everywhere, no drift anchor all day , and safely went to direction and back in comfort ,
and thats a bloody rare thing in windy old Perth. ( 1 size dhu).

Well done
Great Baldy Russ. Those Whiskery Sharks are great chewing too. They go a bit nuts when they come on board though eh

Good day out there Russ, but I’d be hoping the dirty bloody sambo bounced out of the boat on the way home.

cheers all. certainly a good
cheers all. certainly a good feed , needed it too after our freezer died and we lost our backup of fish.
Kirky, your not wrong about them going nuts on deck but the old attitude adjuster helps. knocked on the head and cleaned within a few minuits from hitting the deck with only enough time for a quick pic.
Dale, the sambo stayed in the boat safely in the esky with ice . nothing wrong with them imo.
Wez F . yeah great conditions , when traveling between areas we were anywhere between 20 to 25 knts and on the way in at 5pm were cruising comfortably at 26

The sharks are a great by-catch...don't count to bag limit and great fillets...you seem to hit one on most trips Russ.

Russ, did you try any of the marks
In the golden triangle.......what were the shows like on the sounder. I had a wedding to attend (typical when conditions are good.....so much for being retired when commitments fall on the only good days) but heading out tonight chasing gummies and Friday perhaps looking good

That’s a couple of nice whiskery’s there!
Really good fish curries coming up.
Was going to head out myself but went to car yards to buy new tow vehicle instead.
would have been FAR cheaper to go fishing!
Well done on a couple of pb’s in as many trips!
cheers
