What do people think the launch & recovery will be like off the beach in Lano tommorow. I see it will be easterly but am a bit worried about that swell. I have a 24' glass boat.

I hear its an ace place to swim a car!
A few mates that had to launch a kevlarcat 2400 up there had a landcruiser up to the tailgate.
I'd be shit scared doing it in a 24' mono!

I have fished Lancelin a few times over the years...
I was stupid enough to get stuck there with my AU Falcon Ute a few years ago trying to pull out an 18' RIB. Never again in a 2WD lol.
In a 24' boat you would be better off launching at the concrete ramp at Two Rocks and steaming up from there. Plenty of lumps to fish on the way up aswell.
The surge is what gets you when launching/retrieving so regardless of the amount of traction you have, you'll car will get very wet, especially dealing with a 24 footer.

Ha
Ha. I launched there maybe 6 or 8 times before without a hitch but I don't think I've been there with the swell before that was all. One time we had a bit of trouble when the sout west was in.
