we have some friends which go their every year and catch marlin, a heap of reds, tuna, spanish mackera, pink snapper etc

i'd just find some good dropoffs and start from there

i you look back over the old threads there some pictures of track and fishing , april should be good and fairly warm, i was suprised at the lack of reef and bottom structure but you have to sound around and stop over the bait balls and fish schools

G'day. The bottom out from Gnaraloo bay is generally very flat and sandy and fish tend to hang around the slightest contour lines. I have in the past done pretty well fishing from a dinghy close to the inner reef on the outside baitcasting mulies for all sorts of species. If its your first time to Gnaraloo you might find this option a valid one as you can easily spend days driving around endlessly out there searching for lumps if you dont have any GPS marks. I've seen this scenario many times as big boats travel long distances often turning up sweet FA and small time players in dinghys who dont travel far out cleaning up. Ray
