Getting Back into it...

Hi Guys,

New to the site and my first post - Great forum BTW, very helpful!

I'm on holidays for a week and haven't been fishing for years though i've done a ton of fishing in my younger days. Decided to go down to Miami and fish at the cut but went at dawn, mid-day, dusk under the jolly frog between the bridge and the jetty and got 0 bites using a typical small gang hook and some white/blue bait.

Got depressed and tried again the next day with the same result. Swapped locations on the third day and still nothing!

I have no idea what was going on but it annoyed me greatly so i cut my Miami holiday short and came up to Perth again. Spoke with a bloke at the local tackle shop today who said to try for some whiting north of hillarys and managed to pull up a few tonight. Glad to have a result!

Anyway, would love to shoot the breeze with you guys over the coming months and am looking forward to my Shark Bay holiday at the end of the year!

Fishing can be like that sometimes - and you wonder what happened to your angling mojo. Then all of a asudden it will all start firing. Good luck with it and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Snort,

Welcome to fishwrecked.  Sounds like your timing must have been unfortunate as a few of the guys were getting into good tailor down at the cut a couple of weeks ago.  Sounds like you really need the crab scoops down there at the moment if you want a good feed.

Keep an eye on the site if you want to see whats biting locally, lots of good shore based anglers to keep you updated.

Any questions with the site, speak to Colin Hay, Andy Mac, Tim or myself.  Also if you need any info with your trip later in the year, just ask, plenty of guys that have been up to shark bay in the last couple of months. :)

Cheers,

Adam
