Ron, you know you should really be working. Tomorrow looks as good as it's going to get for the foreseeable future. Good luck mate. This weather pattern sucks!!

I'm to poor to head out but a mate that works away said he'll pay for the beers and the fuel. So I couldn't pass that up, leaving Hillarys 7.45am. I'll jig he'll bait northern tip of Rotto then maybe some sambos to end the day just before the wind kicks up. Goodluck Ron might see you out there!

how did everyone go
how did everyone go yesterday? My brother and I caught 15 tailor, keeping 8, all around 45-55cms. Was slow early, windy and overcast, then the wind dropped, sun came out, and tide started coming in and the fishing was hot! Also saw a big sambo under the ski (again, 3 sambos from 3 trips!) and a 5ft shark cruising about 5 away.

How did ya go Ron?
We had a bit of a slow day and struggled with the wind creating a fast drift for demersla jigging, but managed a good Sambo on PE3 released, nice sized hammerhead on PE5 released, SBT on soft plastic and 2 BB's for dinner as well as an assortment of other stuff like goat fish and bakers on demersal jig released. Too windy for the barges.

hi johnyer mate it was a bit
hi john
yer mate it was a bit slow for us as well.
tried the fads first with nothing on show, had ago at the outer bardge and insatnt hookups, sharks are still a problem so didnt hang around long and of to check some new spots for a while.
got into some tuna which was short lived so back to the 50's for some more jigging.
i got a small jewy, had to use the release weight for him and he looked in very good cond.
then troy, again the jaggy prick, jig up a 4foot shark on a gulp soft plastic(green and yellow one) very weird fight with the fish coming to the surface instantly and not realy fighting until it seen the boat.
defiantly more action in close, next time out might spend the day from the 50's in
still beat working, but the weather was abit shitty most of the day.
cheers ron

Off Bouvard
In a mates small boat, one dhue @ 56cm, a good blackarse, two stonka kgw on skinned occy and then the sambos moved in - really funny having three rods all with double headers on at the same time - as usual lost the second fish of the double header on each - no doubt with them pulling in oppposite directions and breaking the light traces but managed to boat and release six fish the biggest over 25kg on 15 kg gear and a really soft rod
Good feed and good fun, wind was great but where the hell did the rain come from in the morning - it was really damp and cool out there until 10.30 and when the rain went the easterly died and gently swung to a gentle southerly ............big pod of tuna breaking up around us but left them alone as we had a good feed and no need to be greedy
