demersal jig rod Hearty Rise jig force or Daiwa Demon Blood 64 CJ
Just wondering if anyone has used the Demon blood? I picked it up in a store the other day and really liked it. Obviously the hearty rise is also great. love some feedback if you have any. About the same price. Using to jig up to 150 g jigs in roughly 50 m, and lighter conditions permitting. To be matched with Twinpower 4000 FB running 30lb fireline. Hearty rise a bit shorter and perhaps worse for jigging plastics (would do this a little too)
hearty rise - 5'8" Spin PE 1.5-3.0, Max Jig Wt 120gm
Daiwa Demon Blood -Length 6'4 (193cm) 2 Piece - Line PE 2 to 4 - Lure Weight 60 to 120g - Action Medium Light - Taper Regular
I like the idea of a two piece for travel and the Demon blood may have a shade more backbone with its rating up to PE4??
Love any feedback. Write up of demon blood below.
Daiwa Saltist Demon Blood fishing Rod
Using the latest graphite’s and specialized composites, the new Daiwa Saltist Demon Blood fishing rods open up a whole new world of fishing possibilities.
By using Bias Wrap Construction for an ultra strong, fine diameter blank the daiwa demon blood fishing rods resist twisting, improve casting accuracy and have greater hook setting power. Built for optimal performance the daiwa demon blood fishing rods use Fuji’s Silicone Carbide guides and the M tip guides to eliminate line wrap. Being so light these guides really accentuate the blanks characteristics delivering crisp responsive performance, ultimate power and allows for effective line heat dissipation.
The new Daiwa Demon Blood fishing rod uses the simple principle of “more muscle and less fat” to produce a fantastic range of saltwater rods.

2 completely different rods!!
If you are going to stick with the Twinpower 4000FB, I'd go the HR Jig Force. It'll be too small and inadequate for the Demon Blood 64 Combi Jerk. The Demon Blood is better suited with a Daiwa 4000 (with PE3) or 4500/5000 (with PE4)
Both rods can jig both metal and soft plastics easily.

When i get some feedback on the new 4000FE i may decide to go that way for fisning below 40mtrs.
Go the Hearty Rise as Honsu suggested with the Twinny

Fireline!!
First thing you'll have to do is to replace that 30lb Fireline with a much thinner 20lb braid. You dont have enough line of there, even the 14lb Fireline is abit on the thick side but you can keep that. Put the 30lb Fireline onto a bigger reel. You should be able to get atleast 260-270m of good 20lb braid.
Fireline is not "braided" braid. Its Gelspun Polyethylene, meaning its millions of short little fibres fused together under extreme heat and pressure and extruded out as a single strand of line.
True braid is plaited with either 4, 6 or 8ply of continuous fibres. Kinda like rope but much finer.

Tough choice!I have a jigforce and have played with the combi jerks alot and really like them.I would probable get the combi jerk if your gonna be working plastics abit and its also cast's alright in bind.Great rods that will do everything. In having said that can't fault my jigforce. Can't go wrong with either choice imho!

I have the demon blood
Havnt had it long and not really used it much, I also have the jig force,I use the jig force for jigging and the diawa for 10inch plastics. Jig force is great and may feel soft but knocks over 15kg dhuies no prob at all and pretty quick too, and the demon , Ive taken a 10kg dhu which didnt bend it as much as i would of liked but def sorted the fish out fast. Its a bit stiffer then the jig force and i brought it for a different purpous , I was chasing something a bit longer for plastics but needed to be firm enough the take 10inch with 4oz jig heads. see how it goes next time.

Rod recommendation for TwinPower 6000 SW
Just purchased a Twinpower 6000SW PG and will be putting on YGK Jigman PE 2.5 (35lb) line. Will this be a good match for the HR Jigforce rods as well? Looking to do jigging with some 80g, 120g fankys, pirates and also some soft plastics.
