Daiwa Monster Mesh Rods

Any one seen them yet? well priced with silicones and all fuji components, think they are going to retail for around the $350 mark, not bad for a GT popping rod
anyone got any opinions on them?

Monster Mesh

Fri, 2007-10-26 14:39

just spoke to Hal, and most of all the bluewaters have sold out already! He rates then really highly for their price...they have a good range of rods the monster mesh! for the extra $40 or $50 i reckon the Monster Mesh jig rods would sh!t al over the tcurve 200 n 400s deep jig rods imo

Yeah I handled the monster

Fri, 2007-10-26 21:22

Yeah I handled the monster mesh's last week when they came into Bluewater Mindarie...

V NiCE rods, and last I saw, (yesterday) we still had SOME (not sure which models) in stock at mindarie.

They will go quick though, theyre a damn fine blank and design though *whistles* got me all hot and flustered just putting them out on the shelf lol

Bought the kingmack 8-12kg spin rod matched to a spheros 8000 with 8kg. Pretty nice middle of the range combo!

gives them a good wrap!

Thu, 2007-11-01 09:25

thanks for that link spess! he seems to be happy with the popping rod and to land 28kg GTs, then i think the rod must be doing pretty well...fuji Sics, wrapps etc...sounds like good value for money imo!
for the amount of popping im going to be doing over the years to come (exmouth twice a year) this rod will be ample

cheers

I just bought the pe 2-4

Thu, 2007-11-01 15:11

I just bought the pe 2-4 spin to go with a saltist 4500 running 30lb braid. Loads up nice under 5kg's of drag. Now to see if I can hook anything that can actually pull off 5 kgs of drag. My batting card over the last 6 months has been pretty dismal.
Time for another trip North methinks
