just got back form busso. sick place. stayed at the anglican campsite or something like that and went out for a fish everyday. got tonnes of squid but no kgs this time. while crabbing i was freediving for them and i saw tonnes of king george and lots of crabs. most of the crabs were female though. we ended up with 10 males are the end of each day. but so many undersized ones wasnt funny. one dive i got about 26 crabs with none being sized. also caught 2 fiddler rays and a monster shovel nose with my which i didnt expect. on the last night i had a big run with a ray and after taking about 200m of my spool i started getting line back and then my hook snapped in half. gamakatsu octopus 6/0. but all in all a very good holiday

yeah thats what i thought 2. went ray fishing everynight while down there and that was the only big hook up 2. my mate lost a whole sand witing some how. he had 2 hook in it and the reel on free spool didnt make a sound. he felt like winding it in to check his bai and his hooks were gone.

Dont know why, but 80% of crabs are female down here. Fisheries have done a study on it to find out why too.

Still they are
sweet when you find size ones. I don't really like taking the girls but down here in Busso you don't get alot of choice. When you catch a male you almost feel like letting him go to keep the cycle going.
