i just got back from there the ramp wasnt thought out every well when its windy a little wave breaks on the ramp and makes it pretty hard to put it back on the trailer we took a bit of paint off the boat course of this we had no problem and tandabitti tho was fine the whole time we had a 19 footer up there tight lines
Paul - i'd reccomend those roll out tyre mats. Although it was last Oct we went up there was only parts of the steel ramps laying around at tandabidi. I had problems one day - though I rolled out those mats under the back tyres and they worked a treat:)
Of the West Australian,Trailer boating community being forgotten by the government,State or Federal or Local, whoever is responsible for the launching ramps around our coast,The Dept of Planning and stuff ups simple seems to be uninterested in the recreational boaty, and show some concern for the commercial and pen type boating class, after all,we only pay increased boat/trailer rego, fuel taxes, servicing and repairs to industry and by bait excetera,so we do not actually contribute to the state economy jersey
I only came back recently from Exmouth and the metal bog mats were there.
Bundegi isnt designed the best like Micktree said. In saying this, after waiting 10 years of missing out on a Bunda's launch i'm happy to have any ramp . The key is to launch & retrieve as quick as you can when the easterly slop is happening or ya get water coming over. Bigger boats less of an issue but being quick is the go i found. The new Bunda's rambp is fine for bigger boats no probs!
The only thing which makes it hard is when you drop of the car guy (your gonna drive on) and whilst waiting for your car guy to reverse another boat jumps in & ties up at the "front" which can impeed as its a single lane ramp.....but you can get around that....pardon the pun!
Was at exmouth in Feb we had no prblem with the ramp. Probably because there was no other boats around at the time. The boats a 6.5 fibreglass. Ill be back there at that time next year, great weather few people and the best fishing I've ever had.
