Sweers Island is up in the Gulf of Carpentaria. About 100Km's north of Burketown (60km,s offshore). It takes about an hour 20 in small charter plane from Mt Isa. It's set up primarily for fishing holidays. Bird watchers go there for look sometimes (apparently). Check out the website. www.sweers.com.au
Jack, yep seen it, awesome GT, must have smoked your reel up. I got onto one about half that size at Karumba and it toasted the drag on my old trusty Abu. It's since been retired. "Fish of a Lifetime" nice photos. Well done!!!
