Got this 2 nights ago...poor barstad took the hooks down deep, tried near on 30mins to swim him but no go...went 16kg

Yeh John, i have released them before that size and they go off fine, but mostly are lip hooked.
Plus this thing was turbo charged and ran it's self raggered....had the calcutta 400 singing like a bird.
Matt, there are plenty around, its not as easy as everyone thinks though...

had one customer the other
had one customer the other day come in and he caught 4 in just over an hour up to 8kg, plenty around for those putting the time in

Yeah a lot of them swim off well but are found dead several days later. Especially those fish that come from Mossies/Blackwall.

I do agree with Big John, the deep water mulla over 10m have a very low survival so yeh purely catch & keep for me!

Most i have heard caught
Most i have heard caught lately are around the 15-16 kg mark,either people arent putting pics of the smaller ones up or theres heaps of mulla that size in the river.
I would love to get a 20 kg plus on the kayak
