PG (Power Gear) is marketed as the Jap model (along with the HG, high gear) and (from what I've read/heard) has slightly better internals. It also comes with a spare spool.
No Difference between the FA and Jap models. They get more range and more accessories but internally they are the same. FYI the Jap Stellas are marketed as SW series from 4000 size and up but the confusing thing is 4000 size is also available in the FB models and smaller.

I agree with the dogsoldier, stellas are ok but nothing like a genuine jig/pop reel.
