That is one nice size fish , do you sashimi it or how do you cook it, we get a few of them over here , seeing that fish has got me itching to hit the YTK off Rotto and the Amberjacks at our secret spot.

Hey Mav
Do YTK tend to hand around the more shallow reefs or can you get them deep aswell?
Never caught one before, and have tried crazy deeps and skirts around west end of rotto and jigging the barges and containers.  Or Anchor and burley?

That is a nice fish mate welldone!

YTK

Have caught them on Skirts and minnows trolling the west end , about 6 to 8 knots also on the pick in around 20 m but you must be near reef they hang around structure .

I troll in a zig zag pattern going from shallow out to 30 m or so , usually pick up a Tuna or 2 while doing it too.

on the pick Bait cast mulies and Gars or some of the larger placcies ( I havn't done the placcies but others have) I recon the 5 inch snapbacks would work a treat twitched mid water on a largish jig head , burley works ( cubed mulies)

(this is for you only Dean so don't tell anyone , people get real NASTY if people give out info on the net .)

CHEERS , MAV.

I will probably be out there next week in my tub if I can find a decky for the day .
