Should have cooked and eaten him..... got stuff all when I cut him up and used him for bait!

Cut the head off and use that
Cut the head off and use that for bait, then keep the tube to eat. (Though, the tentacles are good to eat too!)
Always a gamble going either way: the conversion or the frying pan :p
