Herring Session on the Yak
Submitted by Hutch on Sat, 2017-04-01 20:57
Headed out on the yak for a few hours this evening in perfect conditions with a very light breeze blowing from the SE.
Ended up with a good bag of herring, wicked fun on one of Big John's pink 1/4oz bucktails. The one in the photo was the smallest of the lot by quite a bit but was the only one I took a photo of. Most were very solid, between 28 and 30cm.
Also got smoked by something big on a live herring that found the reef after a screaming run, my guess is a biiiig sambo.

Nice
Nice work Dylan. Hopefully you hook a salmon on the same gear shortly.

Nice!
You're on a roll this week, Dylan.
Nice work catching various fish during the week. Its what fishing is all about. No point catching big snapper all the time, let others do it!
A fish in the hand is worth 10 in the water!
