Heavy enough! The drag on the saltiga was tight and line was peeling off at times. It's hard to tell in the vid but I'm applying a lot of pressure on that fish.
I got in the water to lift him out.

 Yep they are hard enough to land from a boat let alone a jetty. They seem to have an in built gaff/net avoidance device. Great catch & great eating.

Hi Super peg,
That one was bait!
80lb braid - bimini knot - 80lb mono leader - gang of 6/0 hooks with a large mulie.
Running sinker rig and I gang my own Mustard 7766 hooks.
Still straightened the top hook on that fish but it went the distance. Pondy
