They made some improvements over the previous series, including bigger gears, and it came with a spool test of 100lb mono so thats all my traces out of the way for awhile!

If I can find an excuse
I reckon I'll buy another Accurate, I rate mine very highly.
When the old man gets his boat it may be just the excuse I need to buy another - after all, he will need his own set up for bottom bashing and jigging wont he? LOL. Or a second game rod with the big Accurate ATD platinum - thats a beast of a reel.
I assume you got it through charkbait Jamie? As I believe that is a limited colour run they get done exclusive isn't it?

Yeah it was charkbait, but I know where you might get it a little cheaper.
I'm going to load it with PE6/80lb when I get around to it. It hasn't been used yet.
That Daiwa Sol is in for service, probably just a bearing.
The reel is good for 30lb drag, not overly sure I am though.

Just spooled it up. It took 600m of Daiwa Saltiga Boat Braid PE6/80lb, and a little room left over for a leader.
When (if?) the weather improves, I'll take it out for a spin!
