Top right hand corner you can see a couple of them and the dark patches also. I used the telescopic lens as I didn't want to spook them. Fisheries came and gave a visit, had a yak for awhile and also said they were buff bream schooling maybe to mate. But had a nice relaxing 24 days of drinking, eating, beach bashing and enjoying peace and quiet, no bloody sirens etc.
Neted about half a ton years back, mistook them for salmon.Asked old Nick[boss of the salmon team]what were we going to do with them.He told me"don't worry, anyone who asks me what type of fish they are I can sell them to"
Sure enough,up came a few people who asked and the answer he gave was"egyptian bream"was his reply, and promptly sold them some.In the space of a couple of hours he'd sold the lot.
Asked him was he worried if they would come back and complain he replied"no,too far for them to drive over rough track in again"The place we got them was Eagle Bay and we camped where the concrete pad is down right on the fore dune for months waiting for fish to run through.
